The School

Croonford school is a fictional indepedent school prodcuing students with excellent results. It caters for students from Year Eight to Year Thirteen although there are classes for ten-year-olds who scored extremely well academically. It offers GCSE and A-Level studies although it might consider the International Baccalaureate programme.

It has a rather strict uniform code. From Year Six to Year Eleven, male students wear a blazer with the school crest sewn on the right side, the school tie with a white shirt and long darl-colured trousers. During the warm months the shirt is short-sleeved while during the cold months, the shirt is long-sleeved. Female students wear similiar top clothing: school lazer, short or long-sleeved bouse depending on the weather and the school tie.The girls waer a knee-length skirt and black or blue tights. Girls must not wear coloured bras; only white or skin-tone colured bra. They must wear 40 denier tights in the Spring, early Autumn or when the weather isn’t too hot or cold. During cold weather or the Winter, they must wear tights 80 denier and above. Many girls have requested to wear trousers but the senior staff have not changed the longstanding regulation. Both genders wear flat-heel black shoes, sold by the school shop. Trainers are only permitted during Physical Education( PE) classes and sports activities. Boys are not permitted to wear earrings, girls are allowed to wear only one pair of ear studs.

For PE, students are to change to:

  • White sports socks.
  • White Polo shirt or tank top with school crest. White or light-coloured sports bras are permitted for girls.
  • Black schhool shorts or Black sports joggers.
  • Trainers suitable for sports, not fashion-wear.
  • Black or dark blue square cut swim trunks male students, one-pice black or dark blue swimsuit with no logos for girls.

Sixth Form

There is no school uniform in the Sixth Form, but students must abide by the Sixth Form Dress Code: clothing worn by Sixth Form students must be suitable business wear or smart casual clothing. Low-cut tops or dresses, crop-tops, sleeveless tops, and ‘off the shoulder’ tops; torn or ripped clothes or clothing with inappropriate or offensive imagery; shorts and short skirts/dresses or flip-flops, are not appropriate. Visible piercings are restricted to one piercing per ear lobe, one more stud (no other facial piercings) and hair colour must be natural in appearance.

Optional Clothing:

  • School-issued Jumper
  • Own raincoat, coat hoodie. All must be taken off once entering school and stored in personal lockers.
  • Religious headwear. Students must porovide a letter to authorise their wear.

Anyone not adhering to the uniform code while either be sent home, made to change in school or receive a detention if violating the code many times.
